Fly Fishing Munich
Fly Fishing Munich was established by Julius Kogel. Julius was born in Munich in 1982, but grew up in the Pacific Northwest of the United States of America. In the rivers of Whatcom and Skagit county is where he first fished and discovered his passion, and love for the outdoors. After returning to Munich in 1999, Julius quickly began exploring the fly fishing opportunities that southern Bavaria have to offer.

Besides fishing for grayling, native brown trout, and rainbow trout, Julius is a passionate Big Fly fisherman for Pike and 'Huchen' - the European type of Taimen.
​
His wife, Laurel, also began fishing at an early age. The two love to travel and fly fish around the world. Whether in their home waters of southern Germany, or in Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, New Zealand, Washington State, or British Columbia.

Julius and Laurel are both part of the Zefix Fly Fishing Munich crew, a team of fly fishing friends, guides, fly tyers, and trout bums who all enjoy the great outdoors.
